"Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and, with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath...
This made him a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis."
"What vegetable did Moses not take in the Ark?"
This is how several of my conversations have started with the bride. (Side note -- MOSES wasn't the one on the ark. ;-) If I refer to Kendra as "pun-y" this would not be considered an insult. Kendra is a person I felt I could immediately relate to and love. She's adorable. She loves a good beer. And she's VERY quirky. So quirky in fact she has been a guest at multiple Murder Mystery parties I have hosted (that will be a blog post for another day).
But one of the best parts of Kendra is her fiancée, Gerald. He is equally as charming, quirky and engineer-y as his love. He is also extremely industrious and is the quite the carpenter/engineer/roofer/gardener. (In fact, I've already decided he and my husband will be building me some raised vegetable beds and an in-ground irrigation system next spring. And you're welcome, Gerald!).
When planning their engagement session, Kendra and Gerald wanted locations that best described their loves: the great outdoors, the water, each other. Our time together has been nothing but a joy. Their happiness and ease with one another is apparent. While photographing them I get to see how they just make each other GLOW.
Thank you, K + G for allowing me to help capture your love story. I am enriched by our friendship!
